Ooh, this is awesome!
I love the colors you used. I love how they're muted, dark, ominous, and how it makes the goldish-orange glow of her eyes, and the hint of light reflecting off the edge of her face really stand out -- which only makes her look more intimidating!
And I love how strong that intimidating feel comes across. She looks menacing, scary -- but not malicious, not actively furious. I like how she has this condescending, imperious look to her, in how her face is lifted so her eyes can glance, unconcernedly down at us. She looks so imposing, so superior, but she's not concerned enough with us (or whoever the object of her cold gaze really is) to put any fury or anger into it.
I mentioned that I like what the tilt of her head does to communicate her mood, her personality. I think the way her lips are..."posed" does a similar thing. The upper lip is lifted in an expression I'd call a sneer if she were concerned enough with her prey to put that much effort into menacing them. But the otherwise relaxed position of her lips shows she's not so concerned with the antics of who she's looking at.
Ugh, I wish I'd sat down and commented on this yesterday when I first saw it. I thought much more clearly about the things I liked about this. -__- I hope that even if I stumbled over the words and rambled on repetitively it comes across that I think this is amazing!
